Terms of Service

By using this site you're agreeing to these terms. They're written to be readable, not to trick you.

What this is

Some Guy & AI is a website and YouTube channel where I show how I build real things by talking to AI. It includes a free newsletter and a paid done-for-you website service.

The free stuff

The newsletter, the videos, and the site content are free and meant to help you learn. They're provided "as is." They're educational, not professional, legal, or financial advice. What worked for me may not work the same for you.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site and in my videos are affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you sign up through them, at no extra cost to you. Full details are on my Disclosure page.

The website service

If you hire me to build your website, here's how it works:

  • Packages and pricing are listed on the Work With Me page. Prices can change over time, but the price we agree on when you book is the price you pay.
  • Payment: a deposit starts the work and the balance is due when your site goes live. Payments run through Stripe or PayPal.
  • What you provide: your content and brand details, and you buy and own your own domain name.
  • Revisions are included as listed for your package. Extra work beyond that is billed separately.
  • Timelines are good-faith estimates, not guarantees.
  • Ownership: once you've paid in full, the finished website is yours. I may show the work as a portfolio example unless you ask me not to. I keep my own tools, methods, and templates.
  • No guarantees: I build you a real, working site. I can't promise sales, traffic, or search rankings, because those depend on a lot of things outside the website.

Prepaid products (like The AI Business Checkup)

Some things on this site are paid in full at checkout instead of deposit-first, and they're labeled that way where you buy them. For the AI Business Checkup:

  • You pay upfront through Stripe, and the report is delivered to your email within 3 business days of purchase.
  • Refunds: if the report doesn't give you anything you can act on, reply to the delivery email within 7 days and I'll refund it. After that, sales are final.
  • The checkup works best if your business has a live website. It's an honest diagnosis built with AI tools and verified by me; it's educational and advisory, not professional, legal, or financial advice, and I can't guarantee business outcomes from acting on it.

Digital downloads (the store kits and the free guide)

The store sells files, not services. You pay at checkout and the download is yours straight away, so there's no waiting on me for anything.

  • What you get: a download. The product page for each one lists exactly what's in the box before you buy, and that list is the promise.
  • Refunds on the paid kits: if the kit doesn't do what its page says, email me within 7 days and I'll refund you. That covers the $9 Front Desk Prompt Pack, the $29 Full Build: The AI Concierge, and the $39 Full Build: The Front Desk.
  • What that refund is and isn't: it's a promise that the thing matches its description. It isn't a no-questions-asked, money-back, changed-my-mind guarantee, and nobody speaking for me, including the chatbot on this site, is authorised to describe it as one. If you think a kit didn't do what its page said, say so and I'll sort it out.
  • The free guide costs nothing, so there's nothing to refund.
  • Running costs are yours: the kits build things that run on your own API key from Anthropic or OpenAI. You pay those providers directly. I don't mark that up, take a cut, or control what they charge.
  • You can't resell them: the kits are for you and your own business. Build with them, change them, ship what you build. Don't repackage or resell the files themselves.
  • The "after that, sales are final" line just above is about the AI Business Checkup only. It has never applied to the store kits.

AI-generated content

Half the brand is AI, so I use it openly. A lot of the voice, visuals, and content here are made with AI. The builds themselves are real. See my Disclosure for the details.

Fair use

Don't use the site to break the law, harm others, or rip off the content. Be a decent human.

Disclaimer and liability

The site, content, and services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, I'm not liable for any indirect or consequential damages from using the site, the content, or the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA.

Changes

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
