How I Built a Real Website Using Only Claude (Episode 1)

This is the one that started the whole channel. I can't code. So I opened Claude, told it what I wanted, and built a real website by talking to it. No template, no developer, no idea what I was doing half the time. It went live. Here's the whole episode, and the written version underneath if you'd rather read it.
The premise
I'm not a developer. I want that clear, because it's the whole point. The pitch of this channel is that a regular person can build real things with AI now, and I'm the test case. If it works for me, it works for you.
So Episode 1 is the simplest possible proof: take someone who can't code, give him Claude, and see if a real website comes out the other end. Spoiler, since you're reading this on one: it did.
How it actually went
The build is the same loop I use for everything now, and I broke the full version down in how to build a website with AI. But here's how it played out the first time.
I described what I wanted in plain words. Claude wrote the actual code. I looked at the result, told it what was wrong, and it fixed it. Over and over. The thing I kept noticing was that I never had to know the how. I just had to know what looked right and say so. When something broke, I pasted the error back and said "this broke, fix it," and it did.
I never had to know the how. I just had to know what looked right and say so.
The screwups stayed in the episode on purpose. That's the honest part. It wasn't one clean magic prompt. It was a conversation with a bunch of "no, not like that" in it, which is exactly what building with AI actually looks like.
What I learned in one build
- The "I can't code" thing genuinely didn't matter. Not once. The skill was having an opinion and refusing to settle.
- Looking at the real result every time is the whole game. Not a plan, not a description. The actual live thing.
- Getting unstuck is just describing the problem. The AI wrote it, so the AI can fix it. You're the messenger.
Want to do this yourself
If the episode made you want to try it, start with the full written guide. It's the step-by-step with none of the parts you have to skip past in a video. If you're hung up on the lingo, I also wrote what vibe coding actually is and no-code vs AI.
And if you'd rather have it built than build it, that's the service. Either way, this is Episode 1 of a lot more. New build every week, the wins and the stuff that breaks, all of it.
All I did was ask.
FAQ
Can you really build a website with only Claude?
Yes. This whole build was me describing what I wanted to Claude and refining what came back, no other builder and no code written by hand. Claude writes the site, you steer it until it's right.
Do you need to code to build a website with Claude?
No. I can't code and I didn't write a line of it. You describe what you want in plain English, look at what Claude builds, and say what's off until it's right. The skill is having an opinion, not knowing a programming language.
How long does it take to build a website with Claude?
A simple site can come together in a single focused session. Most of the time isn't the building, it's the back-and-forth of refining until it looks right, and that part depends on how picky you are. Here's the full step-by-step guide.
